Nice to Meet You!

Dear Teachers,

As the school year winds down for you, I’m just getting started at Storyworks! A few months ago, I joined Lauren and her fabulous team to work on all facets of the magazine, particularly our online resources. Since Day 1, I’ve been meeting with some of you, listening to your pain points and marveling at all you’ve done this year for your students. I’m humbled by the chance to transform your challenges into solutions.

In this issue, you’ll get a taste of a new resource I’m particularly excited about: a special audio read-aloud with music and sound effects that will transport your students into our nonfiction story “The Lost Ship.”

In the meantime, please drop me a line to introduce yourself, share your thoughts on Storyworks, or chat about anything. (If you ask, I’ll even share my family’s secret pizza dough recipe—I’m from Italy and I take pizza seriously!)

Wishing you all the best!
