Look how this doggy doctor uses our word of the issue, treat. It can mean “to behave in a certain way toward somebody or something,” “to give medical care,” or “a food that is a reward for good behavior.”

  • If I sit very still for this ridiculous photo, my human might reward me with a delicious treat.
  • I’m a small dog, but my big bark makes the other pups treat me with respect.
  • I tried to treat one of my patients for a fur allergy, but she kept sneezing!

The Adventures of The Word Nerd    

Tyler Maxwell used to be a typical boy. But one day, a 10-pound dictionary fell on his head. Luckily, he survived. But now Tyler can use only the biggest, hardest words there are. His friends don’t understand him. Can you help?
